There is no first-party Medal MCP server yet. What there is: a typed TypeScript SDK, a validated OpenAPI 3.1 contract inside the package, a REST API you can scope to one workspace, and a Pilot plugin system that can declare MCP servers of its own.
Three ways to put an agent on Medal.
Give the agent the contract
Install @medalsocial/sdk and point the agent at the OpenAPI 3.1 document that ships with it — @medalsocial/sdk/openapi.json, openapi.yaml and openapi-types. Models work well from a validated contract: every resource, parameter and error shape is described in one file you pin to a version.
Or call the REST API directly
Create an API key in workspace settings and let the agent call https://io.medalsocial.com/api/v1 over plain HTTPS. The key is scoped to a single workspace, so it can never reach another workspace’s data.
Bridge it through a Pilot plugin
Pilot’s plugin system lets a plugin declare MCP servers alongside its commands and permissions, so an MCP bridge to Medal can live inside a plugin today — and it runs on your machine, under your permissions.
What is not shipped yet
There is no Medal MCP package on npm and no hosted Medal MCP endpoint. When a first-party server lands it will be announced on our GitHub org — watch it there rather than wiring up a command that does not exist.
